Financial wisdom is promised to us in the Word of God, and it is your right as a believer who supports the kingdom of God. Knowing what to do in times of financial trouble is vitally important, and for every financial dilemma, there is a financial solution. Since most financially troubling situations are also accompanied by emotional pressure, it is important that you take a comprehensive approach to financially challenging situations.
Financial troubles are revealed when there are not enough finances on hand to meet a need or when our financial well-being is threatened. The Bible shows that the basis for overcoming financial situations is in strategic seed-faith giving. I get thousands of prayer requests for financial situations, for which I readily pray the prayer of agreement. In addition, I always advise the partners to become givers so that the principle that God has set in the earth concerning our finances and quality of life can be activated.
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:6-9What God promises the giver is that "favor" will abound toward them in direct response to their giving. Favor is the willingness of others to use their power, ability, and influence to help you. When you need wisdom from God, you can request that wisdom on the basis of your faithfulness as a giver. In Biblical situations where there were financially stressful situations, the wisdom of God made the difference.
Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen... 2 Kings 4:1-7In this story, the Prophet Elisha's plan of action involved showing her how to increase by using what she had and maximizing the favor she had with others. Whenever you face financial difficulties, you always look for the immediate relief that favor brings, while you work on an in-depth plan to increase financially. The wisdom of God always involves you choosing to become a part of the process and not sitting by the wayside waiting for something good to happen.
You must make the tough decision now, in the midst of your need, to become a committed giver because it is the only way to tap into God's plan for financial security and increase. Your future financial season is affected by your present-day giving; it is a law that cannot be altered. Your faithful, intentional giving can attack any lack of resources in your life.
